The story of Joseph's life provides us with the stark reality that there is an upper and a lower aspect to the story of the Bible. Though things in Joseph's lower story looked bleak for many years throughout there are hints that the upper story purpose of God had not been forgotten. God was with Joseph through it all and brought about His good purposes. Through Joseph we see how God continues to do the same in our lives today.
